Blue Planet Aquarium Review

To celebrate the end of my first year in Dietetics, I headed to North Wales (Wrexham) to visit my aunt for a week. She's been living there the past year and really loves it up there. Did I have a great time, you  bet you I did! There is so much to see up there, it was a nice break that opened my eyes to just how beautiful nature can be as well as ocean life. See, Wrexham is on the border with England which is how we ended up at Blue planet Aquarium in Chester. It has Europe's largest collection of sharks and lots of different types life to see. It may be small but Blue Planet Aquarium offers a reasonably priced experience, perfect for a family day out.

Broccoli and Beef Casserole

Now that we've established the fact that I cook way too many casseroles; lets make it official. It might be an idea to create a Casseroles category on this blog; it will be so much easier for you casserole lovers to find my recipes. Anyway, I decided to make a casserole this evening because they are super convenient. As I'm coming to the end of my course, I barely have any free time and so cooking in bulk saves me having to cook the next day or two. This nutrient packed casserole is a great way to get in your five a day from just one dish; of course it wouldn't hurt to throw in a fruity desert. Not fond of broccoli? No problem, the spices I use in this will completely change your outlook on the smallest trees nature has to offer.

Simple Pork Pasta

The amount of people I've heard saying that they are avoiding pasta because it makes their blood glucose levels spike is unbelievable. This is a myth! I'm sorry to burst your bubble but you might be surprised to know that most grains actually have a low glycemic index including good ol' pasta. Foods of low glycemic index such as pasta offer a slow and steady release of glucose whereas foods with a high glycemic index release glucose rapidly.  Low GI foods help to keep your blood glucose levels under control. Need more information on the Glycemic Index? Read more from Havard here. I love wholewheat pasta and I think you've caught up with that already. It's so easy to make and versatile, the list of dishes you can make from it are endless. So why not give this little number a try.
