Exam season is over

I'm back! Exam season is over and I couldn't be happier. As you already know, I sat my Human Anatomy and Physiology Exam yesterday and I'd like to say that it went well but you never know with these things. I'm now focusing on fitness, self love and self care once again because I strongly believe that mental well being is so important. Gym gear on, No make up on, who is this girl? Ever since I started really delving into exercise, I've started to feel more positive & I'm feeling a lot more confident in myself. Exercise is another way I'm learning to truly love myself & grow both mentally and physically. Feeling good about yourself and everything around you changes your outlook on life and can help you achieve your goals. So, a mini life update? I think so.

1. RUNNING is slowly becoming the norm. Morning or night, it matters not. By setting myself small goals each week and achieving them, I'm gaining a sense of empowerment, a boost in self esteem. Running also helped with exam stress so I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

2. I've started YOGA. Yes, last Monday I attended my first Yoga session which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was really interesting to learn about strengths that I didn't even know I had like balance. As for flexibility, I still have a long way to go but I'm in no rush. Good things take time, besides there's nothing quite as relaxing as Yoga.

3. Remember my girl Erica? Well we joined the GYM together and we always hit the sauna and jacuzzi after every workout. Having a gym buddy truly makes a different, you push each other, you build each other up. It's so nice to be able to share growth with someone else.

4. My breakfast is the one thing that hasn't changed very much. OATS are a good source of dietary fibre, something that helps to get things moving for us IBSers. Besides, I truly enjoy eating oats especially in winter for warmth and because I'm always looking around for new toppings that are sure to make my taste buds tingle.

So that's me in a nutshell for now. University lectures start on Monday so this weekend is dedicated to relaxation. I have so many recipes to share with you the next few weeks, watch this space.
