Christmas is just around the corner and so today marks the first recipe of this year's Christmas food ideas. I will be posting a new recipe everyday that will help you take the stress out Christmas. Chicken is a very good source of protein and are better grilled, oven roasted or steamed instead of deep frying. Just because it's christmas does not mean your health is out the window. When you oven roast chicken wings, most of the fat is cooked out. These thai mint chicken wings are easy to make and darn right tasy. Here is the recipe on how to make these delighful little numbers, believe me it's not rocket science.
What you need:
- 2 dozen chicken wings
- A tablespoon of Colman's' classic Mint Sauce
- A tablespoon of Mr Naga Hot pepper pickle seed sauce
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 teaspoons lemon juice
- Black pepper
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Add chicken and toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Remove chicken from marinade and place on baking tray. Drizzle with a little marinade then oven roast in a 110°F oven for 1 hour 10 minutes or until cooked through and nearly crispy.
