One of the best things about fashion is the fact that every single person has their own individual style and fashion sense that is totally unique to them. With this being said, there’s always going to be trends that you either love, or that you really hate! The big trends of Summer 2016 are no different. I personally have fallen head over heels for some trends, while looking at others in complete bewilderment! Here’s a few marmite trends that have really split the opinion poles this summer.
Is it just me, or had everyone in the world owned a bomber jacket at some point in their lives? A throwback the 1980’s, the bomber jacket has recently taken over the fashion world again, with not only mens bomber jackets being popular, but also womens. This summer they’ve taken on a new twist in bold colours and fresh silhouettes. I’m not the biggest fan, but a few of my friends have bomber jackets that I love! Whether oversized or embroidered, it’s all about the details in 2016.
While I was originally convinced these wide leg crops trousers were reserved for the Kate Moss’ of the world, l’ve recently been turned. Thinking my not-so-long legs might not pull them off, I’ve recently found that teaming them with a pair of killer heels actually does wonders and is really flattering! They synch you in at the waist, skim over a multitude of lumps and bumps, and come in (literally) thousands of colours, patterns and materials.
Will you be slipping into something more comfortable this summer, or will you be giving this daring trend the slip? Underwear as outerwear is a big trend this season. I’ll admit, it’s not one of my favourites, but a lot of people love this look. The slip dress is abundant on the high street at the moment. People can’t really get enough of its breezy, understated and effortlessly sexy appeal – so maybe it’s just me who doesn’t enjoy feeling like I’m out in my nighty! The biggest piece of advice I can give you this summer – or any season in fact – is to always remember that there will always be a huge difference of opinion when it comes to fashion. Something you love, someone else will hate - and vice versa! So just go for it – wear what make you feel comfortable and fabulous!
