Mashed potatoes are definitely one of the greatest and of course one of my favourite comfort foods! Whether you're sad, happy or poorly; your taste buds seem to always welcome the warmth and delicate texture that mashed potatoes bring. Because they are super easy and quick to make; this dish is definitely one you can rustle up after a long day at work. Served with homemade gravy and grilled chicken thighs; this is one simple meal that is sure to please the whole family.
- 16 small potatoes
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a medium sized pot; bring water to boil then add salt and potatoes and cook until tender (20 minutes then drain)
- On low heat in a wok pan, heat up butter then add the milk. Warm up until the butter is melted.
- Add potatoes to mixture then using an electric beater, blend until completely smooth.
- Season with pepper then serve with gravy, a sprinkle of parsley and grilled chicken
