Wreckless Serenade!

New Look Beret / NEXT Blazer / H&M Jumper / Matalan Denim Shirt / Matalan Necklace / Sorayas Striped Leggings / Matalan Bag / Ebay Wedge Creepers.

Last night, my boyfriend and I made a little trip to the Cinema where we watched 'The Host' which was really good actually, extravagantly silly yet undeniably entertaining! We originally wanted to watch GI Joe but the viewing time was a bit late. Saturday evenings are basically our 'movie night', whether it be cinema or a simple DVD in the comfort of his home, its always nice to have that bit of quality time. Anyway, my look last night was rather simple. With its neutral blue colour and beautiful gold button detailing, I evidently can't get enough of this Next Blazer.

This outfit was based around the colour blue, which I seem to be wearing a lot lately. The striped leggings made yet another appearance, I just adore them as they are perfect for this year's monochrome trend. I teamed them up with a blue denim shirt and a royal blue jumper plus the dark blue blazer for that color blocked effect. I finished off my look by adding a pair of royal blue creepers to match my jumper. As for the beret on my head, it was only inevitable that I would end up donning a hat; call me predictable.

Hope you are all having a lovely day filled with lots of chocolates!
Happy Easter

What's that I hear?

H&M Bowler Hat / Next Oversized Blazer / Wallis Striped Crop Top / New Look DIY Necklace /H&M Trousers / Primark Bag / New Look Heels.

"Remember me?" my print trousers asks. They made their last appearance in a preppy look so I decided to give them another chance. It is also another chance for them to woo you with their minimalistic potential. Seems as though the weather is a bit of a tease, one minute its sunny the next its gloomy! If you ever wonder why the weather influences my outfits so severely,it's because I'm always outside. Wherefore art thou, Spring?

I am becoming increasingly fond of Blue; if you haven't noticed, I've worn quite a few blue centered outfits the past 2 maybe weeks. It might be my mother's influence because blue is her favourite colour or its just me finally taking notice of all the blue item that have been rotting away at the back of my wardrobe. Either way, I am completely in love with this Dark Blue blazer which I found at the back of my mother's wardrobe which is now my new favourite item. She purchased it from Next 4 years ago but never wore it as she apparently doesn't like it! What's not to like? I subtly offered to take it off her hands as I adore it. Its a great wardrobe staple because it can be paired up with just about anything. The gold buttons are a bonus, great little details. This is also the second time I've worn this striped top which I've had for an astounding 4 years but never wore until two weeks ago; its actually funny how alike my mother and I are! Matching my lipstick to my shoes, the hint of red adds a bit of toughness whilst the clash of stripes and prints gives my look just enough edge. I don't usually wear long necklaces but I felt it went well with my look today. I actually made this necklace from an earring about a month ago. Yes, when boredom knocks; DIY.

**So, yesterday I was in the South Wales Echo Newspaper. I have added a photo of the paper to my FEATURES Page. Head on over and have a little look.
Hope you are all having a lovely day!

Rimmel London Funtime Fuschia!

1 stroke, 1 coat and 1 minute drying time is all it takes with Rimmel London Funtime Fuschia Nail Polish! Over the weekend I made a little trip to Boots and I came across this Nail Polish which I instantly fell in love with. It is retailed at just £3.69, surely you didn't expect me to walk out with out it! The hue itself won me over, such a lovely shade of pink called 'Funtime Fuschia'; and its oh so springy. When I was younger, I used to love candy floss so much and this colour definitely reminds me of candy floss. I mean, who doesn't love candy floss? You can never go wrong with a bright coloured nail polish; why not get a head start on spring's most sought after shades.

The brush is excellent for applying the polish, one quick swipe of the brush on each nail and I had total coverage. The bottle states that this nail polish dries in 60 seconds and to no surprise it actually does which is totally awesome especially if you are not as patient. I then added cute nailart stickers after the nail polish had dried so as to keep things playful. I applied this nail polish 2 days ago and it hasn't chipped off at all just yet. I'm hoping the wear time for this polish is at least 5 days. Great colour and super easy to apply; Rimmel London Funtime Fuschia Nail Polish is sure to give you that fully opaque, non streaky finish.

This polish can be purchased from any Boots outlet or online - Funtime Fuschia
Thoughts on this polish?

Out of the B L U E!

H&M Bowler Hat / Ebay Coat / H&M Shirt / H&M Jumper / Sister Vintage Pink Mustache Ring / Matalan Print Trousers / Matalan Bag / Peacocks Brogues.

Yesterday I spent the day in Cardiff Bay styling a Fashion Show for Zolibeau, a local brand that takes pride in producing recycled fashion, mixing vintage with second hand clothing and I had such a lovely time, thank you Sarah & Julia! Outfit wise, this is what I wore to the show yesterday. It seems as though someone had a case of the blues! I has swathed myself a nearly all blue ensemble. Debuting my coat which I absolutely adore, this look is quite simplistic and playful. Still exploring my wildly colourful side, I had to throw in this magnificent pair of pants which I purchased from Matalan back in Jan '13 whilst on sale for just £7! Of course my heart skipped a beat when I found these trousers, it was only inevitable that they would end up a staple piece in my wardrobe.

Teaming up the trousers with a neon coloured shirt and a blue jumper, I felt the colours complimented each other quite well. Comfortability was the order of the day, finishing off my look by adding a pair of white brogues which I've had for just over a year. A bowler hat is always a great little accessory. However, it was quite windy yesterday; thank goodness it wasn't blown away.

**As a thank you for attending and styling their show, Sarah and Julia offered that I choose a few pieces to take home with me which was lovely. I chose a beautiful light pink/peach sheer dress, a silk print blouse, a 90s style nylon jacket and a vintage belt and .

I hope you guys are having a lovely, relaxing Sunday!

Double Denim!

New Look DIY Beanie / Very.co.uk Denim Shirt / Ebay Denim Leggings / Amazon.co.uk Platform Boots / Matalan Print Rucksack.

Double denim is one of this year's marmite trends and today I am donning a denim on denim outfit. There are so many brave souls prepared to try out the look and I'm just one of those. Why the resistance to double denim? Its totally  R A D! Most of us have the ingredients in our wardrobe, which should make us more receptive to the look. And in comparison to other recent trends like cut out dresses; double denim is blissfully undemanding of physical perfection.

I cannot really say much about my look today, the clothes do the talking. I am however completely in love with these 'splattered paint' denim looking leggings which I purchased on Ebay for just £5. I have had this denim shirt for nearly a year and this is the first time I have ever worn it buttoned up. The fear of double denim is not entirely irrational, I can't honestly pretend it is an easy look to carry off. I finished off my look with a print rucksack and platform boots; these added a little edge to my outfit. It was only inevitable that I would top it all off with a beanie that I customised myself using red and black pyramid studs. The cross customisations are on both sides of the hat, I just had to add that little bit extra..

Hope you are all having a lovely day!
What are your thoughts on the Double Denim Trend?

Little Red Memories, Nuclear Seasons!

Faux Fur Waistcoat / Primark Coat / Primark Floral Shirt / Ebay Neon Red Disco Pants / Matalan Bag / Internacionale Heels.

First of all, can I just point out that my hair is tied up today which is a very rare occurrence. I just fancied something different as my hair is always down and in a hat. Anyway, multicoloured pants and ripped leggings aside, its all about disco pants today. As promising as the weather seemed yesterday, its rather dull and quite cold. The redness of these disco pants is a little bright which is exactly what I love about them. I had always wanted a pair of disco pants, now I got a pair. Whilst having a little browse on Ebay, I came across these beauts which were on sale for £15; I had to have them.  My outfit today isn't themed around any one trend, its simply a mixture of the monochrome trend, prints and neons.

Teaming up my disco pants with a floral shirt and a coat to keep me warm, I'm in a rather formal look today. I love this crop faux fur waistcoat which I got from South Africa a while ago, it is super soft! Its such a great staple in my wardrobe, can be paired up with anything. I finished off my look by adding a pair of pump heels which I've had for nearly a year now. I quite like these because I can actually walk in them; we all know heels these days are not very practical. Some people fear that wearing heels strips an outfit of its casual element. I'm one of those people that wears them when I want regardless of the event, unless I absolutely have to do a lot of walking. I believe that your shoes hardly ever define whether or not your outfit is way too dressy, they just create a good middle ground for you to work with.

Hope you all have a great day!

Just go with it!

Ebay Flat Top Fedora Hat / Ebay John Lennon Style Sunglasses / Sister Vintage Cross Earrings / Ebay Blazer / H&M Shirt / DIY Shorts / Matalan Rucksack / Amazon.co.uk Heels.

The heavens seem to be smiling upon us today as the sun is out and the cold is actually bearable. Jumping on the tartan trend wagon, my look today is totally grunge inspired, my inner grunge child has been yearning to be released once again. I am particularly fond of the the DIY shorts which used to be my brother's trousers, that I just so happen to make this morning.

I love going through my brother's wardrobe because I always find his old jeans/trousers which I can use to make shorts. I made myself a pair of Boyfriend shorts from  his old jeans back in February, see them HERE! I teamed up the DIY shorts with a tartan blazer and a simple shirt so as not to divert attention away from the shorts as they are the brightest piece I have on today. I added my Matalan rucksack and fedora hat to add some edge to my look. As for the John Lennon style sunglasses, well let's keep it playful shall we?

Hope you guys are having a lovely day!

A day with Company Magazine & River Island!

 H&M Bowler Hat / H&M Jumper / H&M Shirt / H&M Skirt / New Look Tights.

Can you believe that this is my 100th post! Also, my wee blog will be 4 months old on the 10th of March; oh how time flies!
Yesterday, I made a very early trip to London. Being one of the lucky 4 winners of the Styled by you competition in association with River Island, I got the chance to style a photoshoot for Company Magazine's May Issue. Rosie (another winner) and myself spent the day with Company Fashion Team! You can only imagine our excitement! I went for a minimalistic look for the day, had a feeling it was going to be a long day and so being comfortable was essential. Donning an almost full H&M outfit and a pair of Peacocks flats, I was all set to catch my 5:55am train. This skirt for me is one of the best prints I've seen by H&M, I just adore it. The colour combinations are so rich and bright, practically perfect. The funny thing about this skirt though is that it has pockets! I only discovered that yesterday, like half way through the day. Then again, this was my first time wearing this skirt, I only bought it a few weeks ago; so I'm sure you can let me off this once.

It was way too early for me to eat so I had a fruit salad for breakfast on the train o London.  It tasted great, especially the strawberries, mhmm!
Rosie and I also had some photos snapped for the May Issue, it was nerve wrecking but everyone was so nice. For my look, I was wearing stonewashed River Island Dungarees and a text jumper.

Meet Rosie, fellow winner and Kitty the model:)

Some of the shooting was done in an East London Grocery store and then a studio. The theme of the shoots was Oriental fashion! Look at all those colours and prints, it was practically my dream wardrobe! Most of you already know that I am cookoo for brights colours and prints. Here are a few photos I snapped for you guys.

I have lots of  photos showing some of the Styling that went on BUT I am not going to put them up, you will just have to wait until Company Magazine's May Issue is released sometime in April, its a suprise:) There is a lot more to styling than I thought, it is not all that easy but now more than ever; I am determined to have a career in Styling. I am so glad to have been offered such a great experience and met some amazing people. Thank you Company Magazine, River Island & Company Magazine Fashion Team for having us!x

I hope you guys are having a lovely day!
Are you looking forward to Company Magazine's May Issue?

Unorthodox!

Ebay Flat Top Fedora Hat / Mirage Woolen Spiked Jumper / Internacionale Asymmetrical Dress / New Look Necklace / Amazon.co.uk Platform Boots /H&M Clutch Bag.

This look is way brighter than I can justify on a rather calm day in March. But hey, you can't blame me; I have been infinitely waiting for spring to arrive, am I pushing it? I'd like to believe that these colours distract people from my bare legs for a solid 30 seconds; well a girl can dream. Not everything I do or say can be explained, clearly..

This look debuts my black clutch bag, I don't think it has appeared on this blog before. I have had it for 2 years and counting, purchased it from H&M for just £5. How cool is my studded shoulder jumper? I have only ever worn it once ever since I bought it, been working my way through the new clothes purchased from the January sales very slowly. Teaming it up with this fuchsia asymmetrical dress which I wore on christmas day, I was going for a bohemian look.  No bohemian look is complete with a pair of John Lenon style sunnies!
I confess, I am a devoted Cupcake eater and cannot wait to demolish these babies that mother just brought me, I am now content..
Hope you have lovely day!
