Review: Rimmel London & Kate Moss Lipsticks!

An involuntary accolade to these two lipsticks, the two I just can't do without! It was that time again when I have had to leave the comfort of home and venture into town to buy some new lipsticks that I so needed and had clearly run out. My love for lipsticks was discovered 4 years ago and now I continuously rant about how amazing they are or otherwise.

Rimmel London (Shade 128):
A sexy deep burgundy/purple which is surely one of the smoothest lipsticks I have ever used. The staying power is great, lasting approximately 6 hours on me; chewing and eating included. How amazing is that? This lipsticks gives full, opaque coverage, has no cheap fragrance to it  and does not settle in lines/cracks on the lips. Hence my huge addiction to it! Rimmel London lives up to its fame, definitely recommended.

Kate Moss (Shade 107):
Firstly, I apologise for the photo, this lip colour looks a bit different when applied to my my lips due to my darker skin tone! This lipstick is just amazing. Kate Moss's Velvet Lipstick took me by surprise because it is brilliant; best lipstick in my make up bag and definitely my favourite. With longest staying power I've ever come across (approximately 7 hours, even better than a lip stain, haha), full coverage, no undesirable smells and doesn't settle in cracks on the lips; this lipstick is one to have! The best thing about this lipstick is that it suits all skin tones, you just can't lose! Its moisture seals in which means the colour goes on and on, saves you having to apply it again and again. Get it, Try it, You might just love it!

Have you managed to get your hands on either of these lipsticks? What do you think?

Essie Nail Varnish Review!*

Yesterday, I received a little something from Liberty for me to review. I was sent an Essie Nail varnish in Bazooka, Thank you! & yes that is a Liberty Print frog you see there, its too cute. The frog is a bit of a  Liberty icon and is based on one of Athur Liberty's favourite hand carved decorations in the Tudor Store. When I opened the package, I was instantly excited as the colour of the nail varnish unveiled; its so gorgeous and really bright which is as you all know, right up my street. Bright looks better & this Essie nail varnish does just that for me. Its no secret that I am a fan of nail art, and after using this nail Varnish I am sure to buy more than my fair share of it. While Essie costs a little more than your average nail polish, it dries very quickly and looks so much better. With a great selection of colors behind them, Essie Nail Varnish is one to try.The best thing about it though is that it lacks some of the harsher chemicals that cheaper polishes have, you can't lose.

Didn't I tell you that the colour is gorgeous? This colour is called Bazooka (pretty cool name) and the brush makes it fairly easy to apply. Its so rich in color and there are so many to choose from. The coverage is great. You can purchase Essie nail varnishes from Liberty here:
I like to mix it up a bit and so I also added Rimmel London Metal Rush Nail Polish to keep it playful. This was the end result, what do you think?

There you have it, my nails for the next couple of days. Also, check out Liberty's Beauty gift sets, you might just find a little something you like.

*Please note, this Essie Nail Varnish was provided for free. This doesn't sway my opinion to the positive side in any way, my review is still 100% honest.

What do you think of this Essie Nail Varnish?

My Precious: Canon Powershot SX500 IS Digital Camera!

After nearly 2 months of Blogging and taking blog photos with my HTC One X, I have finally upgraded to a proper camera! I bought a super-zoom bridge type camera, Canon Powershot SX500 IS from Currys. It has a 30x, 24mm wide-angle zoom lens, 3 inch LCD screen, 16 megapixel resolution, HD Video 720p, full manual controls and a Digic 4 processor. It also has an Auto mode that detects 32 scenes and a range of Creative Filters which I can't wait to try out! Oh and it also has a pop up flash which  sits on top of the lens barrel (I always forget that). It came with a memory card and rechargable batteries/charger; it takes a Lithium-Ion battery. I purchased a memory card for it as it won't work without one and bought the camera bag too.

I absolutely love already, mainly because of its size. Its not too big and its not too small either; but is a rough shape of a cube while not being very big. From just looking at it, I can tell you that if you are looking for something pocketable or if you want something big and chunky, this camera is not for you. Even though it is quite small, it is definitely not a camera for your pocket. I love it though, its perfect for me; fits just right in most of my rather huge handbags. Its so cute!

After exploring the camera a bit, I can safely say that the menu is extremely easy to use. Cannot wait to snap some photos tomorrow!

Vivo Cosmetics: Trio Eyeshadow Palette Review!

So, I recently discovered this brand called Vivo Cosmetics and instantly thought it was great! As money becomes more and more difficult to get hold of these days, its wise to save it in any way we can. Vivo Cosmetics is a good quality budget store brand which has some great products like this Trio Eyeshadow palette! Vivo Eyeshadow Trios cost £2.50 each and so as you can see, they are really cheap! I have always gone for cheaper make up brands when it comes to buying eye shadows and blusher; the only thing I'd say I spend a lot on is my foundation which is MAC Studio Fix powder foundation (Shade NW45, at £20.50).
This was the last 'Sugar Plum' trio palette they had left in stock on their website which was really lucky. I love it, the middle colour is definitely my favourite. I have used the middle one and the one to the right for this look:
This eye shadow applies well and blends in well, I think the colours compliment my eye colour. There is always the question of how long it stays on; a long while. I had it on for approximately 7 hours.Their products can be ordered directly from their website or you can purchase them from Tesco Outlets. Great Eye shadows at a great price, you can't lose. Definitely recommend their eye shadow palettes!

Oh, by the way Vivo Cosmetics currently has a sale on; with some eye shadow palettes at half price like these:
Shimmer Palette on sale for just £3 - Click here

Bronze and Eye Palette on sale for just £3.99 - Click here

I wish I could say the same for their lipsticks. I tried out one of their Matte lipsticks and they weren't that great. They settle in lines and cracks and the lasting power is approximately an hour. Yes, they are gorgeous colours but would NOT recommend their lipsticks.

 Here is their website: http://www.vivocosmetics.co.uk

What do you think of this look and eye shadow?

Back to Black!

In an attempt to channel that urban street style vibe; it feels fantastic to dress in clothes that are as comfortable as they are hip! Talk about a breath of fresh air, these baggy harem pants do me justice. I needed a break from all that 'madness' that comes with most of my outfits.

Just because its winter doesn't mean you should completely stop wearing your crop tops! Thank goodness for designers that make those things we call 'jackets', which can easily keep you warm on those cold winter days. This crop top never used to be a 'crop top', it was actually a straight dress that I got from H&M 3 years ago. I got bored of the dress and so I made it into a crop top instead, I couldn't let such gorgeous print go to waste. These harem pants are just so perfect; they are baggy meaning they are super comfortable. Best of all, they look great and makes getting dressed on a lazy day so much easier. The neon yellow belt is there to add some character to my look and of course, the cream beanie, which just happens to be glowing in all the photos. When wearing harem pants, you can't go wrong with a leather jacket. What's not to love?

I am wearing:

New Look Hat
Asos Geek Glasses
Ebay Leather Jacket (DIYed)
H&M Crop Top (DIYed, used to be a dress)
Primark Thin Belt
H&M Trousers
Amazon.co.uk Boots
JOOP Vintage Leather Rucksack

Do you love vintage bags? What's your take on this outfit?

Go Bold or Go Home: 2013 Fashion Trends!

Bold bright colours and prints dominated the fashion world in 2012 and it looks like they are not going to die down anytime soon. Now that 2013 is upon us, let's talk this year's fashion trends! Of course, I will not be purchasing these designer ones. Don't think my wallet could handle that kind of dent. In situations like this is when topshop and H&M come in handy and  that's when bargain hunting starts!
1.   Bermuda shorts: You want to pull off the slouchy, cool girl look; well now there is a solution.   Bermuda shorts are the only way to go! Yes ladies, this year we can all pull off those cheek-baring cutoffs; flattering and ultra-chic. Do you dare?

2.   Black and White: Strong black and whites, are back. The great thing about black and white is that they can be pulled off at any budget and can be worn all year round. Its a WIN WIN situation!

3.   Bold Stripes: Time to take those simple stripes for a spin! When worn head to toe, they are just plain cool and when worn with navy, they are naval chic. What's not like!

4.   Peekaboo: Love to show a bit of skin, well this year you are in luck. Daring cutouts, high splits and midrif bearers are sure to make you stand out of the crowd!

5.   Short Suits: They are versatile and can serve their purpose well, you should definitely own a short suit this year.

6.  Luxe Leather: The best investment you can make in 2013, available in rich colours and minimalistic styles; you can't go wrong!

7.  Statement Sunglasses: They are OMG worthy and add a bit of glam to your look!

8.   Flats and Low heels: 90s pointy heels are back, better than ever. These lady like heels are a lovely option to have at hand. I definitely need a pair; cheap one at that haha.

So there you have it, a new year with some amazing trends. Its all about getting graphic, rocking pencils dresses and neons, 90s nostalgia which is all about looking scruffy and time travelling back to the 60s.Time to embrace your Individuality, Recklessness and Creativity. Be Youthful!

Which trend will you go for?
